Halo Mega Bloks Covenant Weapons Pack II & Brute Minor Figure!

I haven’t updated in a while, as I already covered all of the major Halo Mega Bloks Summer 2014 sets being released, and there hasn’t been a great deal of other news to talk about. But while I’ve talked about all the big sets with vehicles, there’s still a couple smaller gems left to discuss! One such set is the 2014 Halo Mega Bloks Covenant Weapons Pack II 97359, which comes complete with the first Halo Reach Mega Bloks Brute Minor figure ever!

MEGA Brands has really been knocking these little $5-$7 Weapons Packs out of the ballpark for the past year or so, and that trend will continue with the Fall 2014 Halo Mega Bloks sets wave. Just when you think MEGA Brands has done everything there is to do with Halo Reach toys, they bring a great little figure and weapons set like the Mega Bloks Halo Covenant Weapons Pack II to market!

The 97359 Halo Mega Bloks Covenant Weapons Pack II set will include a gold Brute Minor figure, a Brute Spiker,a Brute Plasma Rifle, a Plasma Cannon, a Brute Shot and a Halo 3 Anti-Gravity Pad. This is an awesome assortment of weapons, and while Brute Minors don’t usually wield Brute Shots, I’ll let that slide (seeing as how I really want a new painted Brute Shot).

Halo Mega Bloks Covenant Weapons Pack II at New York Toy Fair 2014I’m actually a bit disappointed that MEGA Brands selected a gold Brute Minor for the first-ever Halo Reach Brute Minor Mega Bloks figure. I don’t know about anyone else, but when I think “Brute Minors”, I think “blue”. I don’t doubt that we might see gold-armored Brute Minors at some point in the Halo Reach video game, but the blue has always been more prevalent (at least, in my opinion).

  1. This isn’t the first we’ve seen a minor. It’s the first from Halo Reach but minors based on their Halo 3 appearance have been around since series 2 of the blind bags

It should’ve been blue, that usually is the standard minor color but not for all covenant species, they probably made him gold because the last covenant weapons pack gave us a blue honor guard elite, by the way has anyone seen those yet haven’t seen them on amazon/ebay yet; but i will definitely be getting a few of these to army build with, the last time i saw a painted brute shot was with the very old and elusive Covenant Red Weapons Pack 2.

    • I was watching commanderbacara198 and he I think he said that they only sold the on canada. I’ve actually gave been looking for them myself.

      • Actually, they will be only in Target in the US. Commanderbacara has changed what he had originally stated on his channel. They just haven’t come out yet.

  3. Looks good to me, although I do agree blue would have been a more preferable color for me at least, but I’m just happy to get some more variety as far as brutes go.

    • Not last years according to big companies. Toy companies go by seasons the Gausshog was part of the Mega bloks Halo “Winter/Spring wave” and the rest is the “Summer/Fall wave”
