I’ve been talking about the 2013 Halo Mega Bloks Cauldron Clash 97118 set for months for a reason, and that reason is that even without owning it yet, I could tell that this set was awesome. I finally got my Mega Bloks Halo 4 Cauldron Clash set in the mail earlier this week, and I couldn’t wait to put it together. When I first heard that a Halo Mega Bloks UNSC Ammo Pack was coming in 2013, visions of a package full of rare weapons danced in my head. So when we got our first of what was really included in the UNSC Ammo Pack I, I was a little underwhelmed. I reviewed the UNSC Cobalt Combat Unit earlier this year, and now it’s the Covenant’s turn to get all decked out in Cobalt blue armor–it’s the 2013 Halo Mega Bloks Covenant Combat Cobalt Unit 97084! My hopes for this set plummeted when I learned what the four figures included in it were, but the paint deco is so good that it almost makes up for this set’s shortcomings….

Halo Mega Bloks Covenant Spectre Ambush 97110 won the poll a few months back for the absolute most-wanted of all of the Halo Mega Bloks 2013 sets announced for the winter, so I made it my mission to get both the Covenant Spectre Ambush and the UNSC Cryo Bay 97088 as quickly as possible to provide reviews for fellow Halo fans.
