2014 Halo Mega Bloks Blue Series Weapons Packs Released & Photos!

The amount of brand new Halo Mega Bloks sets on store shelves this winter is slightly lower than the number of sets that we may be used to seeing at this time of year, but luckily, some new exclusives are starting to appear to fill the void in our collecting hearts! With no advance warning, a new pair of Halo Mega Bloks Blue Series Weapons Packs has now appeared in Target stores: the 2014 Halo Mega Bloks Blue Series Elite Honor Guard and ODST sets!

2014 Halo Mega Bloks Blue Series ODST and Elite Royal Guard Weapons Packs

In general, the Halo Mega Bloks “Blue Series” theme has been a bit of a tough sell to me. It feels like “Red vs. Blue”, but with the “Red” faction just now around. Very strange. Even so, these two new Mega Bloks Halo Blue Series Weapons Packs end up being widely appealing to me–and for more than just the figures that come with each!

Halo Mega Bloks 2014 Blue Series Elite Honor Guard Weapons Pack 97285 First, we’ve got the Halo Mega Bloks 2014 Blue Series Elite Honor Guard Weapons Pack 97285. This set gives us only the third-ever release of a Sangheili Honor Guard figure, this time in a regal blue and gold armor. I always have room for more Elite Royal Guards in my collection–especially when they come in cheap army-builder weapons packs like this one!

Not only does the set include a rare Honor Guard Elite figure, but you also get a great assortment of painted weapons including the Covenant Plasma Repeater, Elite Honor Guard Staff, Plasma Rifle and Concussion Rifle. We very rarely get most of these weapons, so I am positively psyched to see them all included in one low-priced set!

Halo Mega Bloks Blue Series ODST Weapons Pack 97284The other new Blue Series addition is the 2014 Halo Mega Bloks Blue Series ODST Weapons Pack 97284. While the blue ODST is a bit garish for my tastes, his assortment of accessories is absolutely astounding! You get a Blue Flag, the ultra-rare Target Locator, a black SOCOM, a Grenade Launcher, a Sniper Rifle and an SMG! Quite frankly, this is one of the best weapons packs that MEGA Brands has ever put out for us, and I am very much enamored with it.

  1. Even more things to buy?! At first I was only gonna get the new Ghost, the Locust, and the Quad-Walker. Now these two sets. MEGA Brands, you are cleaning out my wallet!

    But I love the new sets. The ODST one is really awesome, and the Honor Guard one is too. I don’t have a honor guard…yet…

  2. Awesome looking sets, but can’t say I’ll be getting ’em due to ’em being Target exclusives.

      • Because there is no Target anywhere near where I live and I haven’t a credit card to purchase them online. Although Walmart may end up getting these as for some unknown reason they did get all of the Target Snowbound sets except the rocket hog.

  3. Dabid and other halo fans, the front of the odst wep-pack has the dost haldong a grey/black gun. What is it? It is none if the guns described by Dabid. I think it is a tactual shotgun that is painted.
    Yay! Painted weapons!

    • It lookes like a grenade launcher if you look closely. But from some reason I can’t see the details on the grenade launcher in the box.

      • It’s the grenade Launcher, But the Pox Art is a bit wierd, Instead of the Grenade Launcher being Sliver and Black Like it is out of the box, the box has it Black and grey.

  7. Has anyone found these yet? My Target still hasn’t stocked them, and I can’t find them online anywhere..

  8. Why are these exclusively not in the UK?! I’m gonna complain to mega for sure bout this, everywhere else gets exclusives and we seem to be the only place that doesn’t get any exclusives! -.- first it was the Red v Blue hero packs. Now it’s the Blue series weapon packs – Why make the blue series weapon packs exclusive but not the rest of the blue series released before it!
