Earlier this month, MEGA Brands announced that the special Halo Mega Bloks Ultimate Battle Collector Pack 97390 would be coming to Target stores “soon”. Well, at the time we weren’t sure exactly just how soon “soon” was… but we sure do know now! From announcement to store shelves in under two weeks, one of the final Halo Mega Bloks sets of 2014 has arrived: the Halo Mega Bloks 97390 Ultimate Battle Collector Pack has now been released in stores!

I was on a casual stroll through Target this weekend, honestly not on a toy hunt for anything, when I spotted a newly-stocked endcap and my jaw dropped. There it was! The Target exclusive My Little Pony Friendship is Magic Rainbow Dash exclusive vinyl figure was there, smack dab in the middle of the display. Who knew! [/sarcasm]

But seriously, Rainbow Dash herself wasn’t the only limited Target exclusive item on display in the store. No, that same freshly-stocked endcap had a variety of other Target holiday exclusives on it, including the just-announced-this-month Halo Mega Bloks 97390 Ultimate Battle Collector Pack. Color me surprised!

This Mega Bloks Halo 97390 set includes an amazing 16 figures for $25 dollars! That’s only $1.56 per figure, making it one of the best Halo Mega Bloks sets as far as value goes ever!

I had genuinely told myself that I didn’t need this humongous Halo Mega Bloks gift pack, as I have all the molds in the pack several times over (and more importantly, I already have a few Steel Spartan Security Mega Bloks figures). But I looked at this set, it looked at me, one thing led to another, and now it’s sitting on the shelf in my apartment. Go figure!
