ThreeA Halo Spartan Mark V EVA Exclusive 1/6 Figure Announced!

With the official announcement of the ThreeA Toys Halo Reach Emile Sixth Scale figure this week, we all suspected that it was only a matter of time until ThreeA Toys announced an exclusive Halo 1/6 figure to accompany the preorder for 3A Emile. And lo and behold, here it is! Going up for order on August 20, 2013–the 3A Halo Spartan Mark V EVA Exclusive 1/6th scale figure!

3A Halo Spartan Mark V EVA Figure Exclusive Bambaland

As was widely speculated, the new Bambaland Halo ThreeA Toys exclusive figure is a Spartan Mark V with EVA Helmet–meaning that it’s basically just the same Halo sixth scale figure as Emile, but with slightly tweaked colors and an EVA helmet without the painted/sculpted skull on it. Otherwise, this is exactly the same figure as Emile–same removable Kukri Knife with sheathe, same rubberized suit, same fiber optic illuminated armor–everything is the same besides the helmet. Exciting, right…?

ThreeA Halo Mark V Spartan EVA Figure Back Bambaland ExclusiveTo be totally and completely honest, I’m pretty underwhelmed by this offering (in case you couldn’t tell). Like everybody else, I figured that the new 3A Halo Bambaland exclusive figure would be a recolored version of the ThreeA Emile, but not even I thought that the exclusive was going to be quite so lazy.

This is just a steel Mark V Spartan figure with EVA helmet and some patches of green as a secondary color. ThreeA Toys could have at least swapped in some of the shoulder armor from their previously-released 1/6 Carter figure, or made the variant paint deco something really crazy to look at. As it is, this figure strikes me as just being “ehn”.

Halo-ThreeA-Toys-EVA-Helmet-Spartan-Mark-V-Bambaland-ExclusiveThe colors and armor on this figure haven’t been changed nearly enough to make it feel like a distinct figure from the 3A Halo Reach Emile, so I don’t really feel any need to purchase this figure myself for $220+. Honestly, I don’t know who this figure is aimed at other than Halo completists or Halo Reach fans who (for some reason) hate Emile.

  1. I was expecting a emeile reprint and was pleasantly surprised to hear they were doing a normal EVA helmet, that was until I actually saw it, quite disappointed they they didn’t sculpt the front details on the visor and chose to paint silver

  3. These things look great. I’m not a big enough fan of any of the Reach characters to justify saving up and buying one, but they do look great. I look forward to them hopefully getting to Halo 4 characters one day. A 1/6th scale H4 Master Chief would look great. Even more so if they gave him an in-scale Cortana to hold (like McFarlane’s series 2 figure) and/or made a larger Cortana figure to recreate the end of the campaign. Palmer would also be great, even more-so if they included two heads for her. While I doubt they’ll do any non-Spartans, I would certainly be interested in 1/6th scaled versions of Lasky and maybe even Jul Mdama…though now that I type that…I’m not sure I want to even imagine how big a 1/6th scale Elite would be…let alone how much it would cost…lol

  4. I want this. Emile was generic in Reach, kinda like ghost. Also, 10 worst halo mcfarlane figures you have bought!

    • Yeah, but you’d need to paint the other armor pieces yourself or else the colors will be totally off.
