ThreeA Halo Carter 1/6 Scale Figure Released & Review

Have you got an extra $200+ that’s burning a hole in your pocket? Have you been dreaming of an even more detailed and expensive high-end figure of Commander Carter, leader of the Spartan Noble Squad in the “Halo Reach” video game? If your answer is “yes” to both of these questions, then ThreeA Toys has just the thing for you, as this week they’ve released the first figure in their Halo 1/6th scale figures line: Commander Carter…

Carter ThreeA Toys Halo Sixth-Scale Figure

I’ve felt the lure of sixth-scale figures more than once over the years, but I’ve only recently started to succumb to their allure of the Hot Toys Avengers and Iron Man 1/6 scale figure lines. With Hot Toys being the “hot” thing to collect right now, it was only a matter of time until someone put out some high-end Halo sixth-scale figures. And that someone is ThreeA Toys, one of the most renowned and respected toy companies in the world.

It’s taken close to a year since the Three A Toys Halo Carter figure was put up for order, but he’s finally arriving in stores this month. Featuring a rubber suit, magnetized shoulder armor, and fiber-optic integrated lights on his helmet and armor, this ThreeA Toys Carter figure is the most advanced Halo figure ever made.

Halo Reach Commander Carter ThreeA Toys 1/6 Scale Figure I was feeling like I was in a bit of a bind, as I feel responsible for featuring every new Halo figure released as much as possible on this blog. At the same time, I had no intent of purchasing a 13.5″ Carter Spartan-III figure. Of all the named Spartans in the Halo universe, I hate Carter the most. I thought he was a boring and ineffectual leader in Halo: Reach, and I had no interest in laying down a good chunk of my monthly income to review a Carter figure.

ThreeA Toys Halo Commander Carter Figure with Light-Up FeaturesLuckily, The Daytime Ninja came to the rescue by letting me know that he’d received and reviewed the 1/6 ThreeA Toys Carter figure. I typically don’t like to post links to other people’s reviews on this site, but what I like even less is dropping $200+ on a Halo sixth-scale figure of a character I outright hate. Luckily, Gavin’s reviews on The Daytime Ninja blog are some of my favorites, and I trust his opinions enough to pass them on. Gavin gave the 1/6 Carter a glowing review, and you can check out his blog to read about it in full.

ThreeA Halo Reach Carter Head and Torso Close-UpIf you’re looking to add the ThreeA Toys Halo Commander Carter 1/6th scale figure to your own collection, BigBadToyStore has it in-stock right now. Or if you want free shipping, Amazon has a few left for a couple dollars more.

What are your thoughts on Carter, Halo collectors? Will you be adding him to your collections, or is $200+ for a Halo figure just too expensive?

ThreeA Halo Carter 1/6 Scale Figure Released & Review — 8 Comments

  1. Why are you so mean to carter ;(? he has quite abit of personality more so than the cheif 🙁 mean

    • I don’t like the Chief either. =P

Carter really got on my nerves in the Halo Reach video game. I felt like he was just a figurehead leader, while Kat kept having to push him around into making the right decisions. In truth, Kat felt like a more natural leader for Noble Squad than Carter did. Carter didn’t do a whole lot other than get his whole squad killed and die in a way that he should have been able to escape from.

      • I agree on this one, I hated Carter. So… Simple for his role. The only thing he did through the whole storyline is just bark orders, and like you said he got all of his team (except for Jun) killed! My favorite noble team member will always be Jun. Only partly because he actually survived.

  2. For $200+, it better make me breakfast in the morning!! 1/6 figures can have GREAT articulations, for a figure costing this much there’s not even one single picture in an acceptable battle pose, which tells you that it can’t do anything other than “looking heroic standing straight up”. 3A obviously sacrificed articulation for look, inexcusable in my book. You were smart not to drop $200+ on that. I don’t hate Carter, but it does seem like an odd choice for their first figure. If their plan is to make more gauging from the sale of the first one, then the Chief would have had a better chance of achieving that goal. If for no other reason than the fact that the Chief is more recognizable than anyone else! As it is, I serously doubt we’ll see anymore from this line.

    • Are you seriously THAT dumb? The 3A Carter has articulation in his legs, knees, feet, fingers, hands, elbows, arms, shoulders, and his head! What is left to articulate? Oh, and and that “heroic-standing up pose” BEST showcases his ABSOLUTELY STUNNING detailed sculpt AND his amazing paint job. Carter is an odd choice for the first figure to make, but it still works. Oh, and Dabid didn’t buy the figure. Someone else did, and then reviewed it. Dabid just posted the link the link to it.

Go be a bumbling idiot somewhere else.

  3. But carter he no choice he was a solider through and through im sure if they explored his character more he would have had more personality i personally liked carter the best :3 plus speaking of someone who owns the figure it is quite well made ^->

  4. Companies should send you free toys to review. This is a very popular site for Halo toy info.

  5. This is three years too late, at best. It’s gorgeous, but Carter doesn’t have much appeal outside of a complete set of Noble team. That would be a $1200 + commitment, & I’d like to be able to buy the next XBOX so I can play Halo 5. John would have been a smarter choice for a first figure.
