NYCC 2015: Mega Bloks Halo Heroes Series 2! Forge! Romeo!

As promised, MEGA Brands bright the entire lineup of Halo Heroes Series 2 figures with them to New York Comic-Con 2015 today! It looks like we may have to wait longer that we’d hoped to own them, but at least we know that Demarco, Sergeant Forge, ODST Romeo and more are finally coming our way in 2016!

  
Earlier this week, I have my predictions as to what characters we would see in the Halo Mega Bloks Heroes Series 2 assortment at NYCC 2015 this weekend. As it turns out, I was completely off-target, with only one of my selections actually being part of this 2016 Halo Mega Bloks single-packed figure assortment. 

   
That said, I think that MEGA Brands is showing up McFarlane Toys just a wee bit, because the one figure I correctly guessed would be in Halo Heroes Wave 2 is none other than ODST Romeo! I love you, McFarlane Toys, but I’m glad that MEGA Brands is finally bringing us what you have failed to year after year: the first-ever Romeo action figure!

  
The complete Halo Heroes Mega Bloks Series 2 lineup is as follows:

  • Sergeant Forge (Halo Wars)
  • Spartan Demarco
  • Romeo (ODST)
  • Orange Spartan GUNGNIR
  • Steel Spartan Oceanic
  • Green Spartan Scout

  
While only three of the figures in the series are distinct individuals, I am excited to see more figures of Spartans with skins on! I’m not good at IDing the various multiplayer skins, but I know you are, Halo fans. Anyone want to help me out by identifying the skins on these Spartans…?  

The bad news is that the placard with this series says that both series of Halo Mega Bloks Heroes won’t ship until fall 2016. Yikes. Let’s hope there was a mistake and at least Series 1 will be out in the winter/spring.

  1. My hopes for series 3 are:
    Tanaka (the same colour scheme as the Oceanic in S2)
    Linda (H5)
    Fred (H5)
    Dr Halsey (with two normal and one chopped arm)
    Master Chief (Halo 2/3, Mark VI armour)
    Mark V Spartan (CE or Reach)

    • Series one has Spartan Vale from H5 Master Chief from Halo Legends Spartan Thorne ODST Buck Spartan Orbital and Spartan Defender

  4. Love that we are also getting more weapon skins from Halo 4 with the Heroes series on top of official characters and armor skins.

    Is that… a knife in Buck’s hand? That isn’t on his chestplate?

    Because the last picture I saw of Buck, he had the knife attached to the chestplate. Does that mean the knife will be removable so he can use it to stab Brutes in the neck?

    BECAUSE THAT’S AWESOME.

  7. I will be getting John, Vale, Thorne, Buck, Romeo, Forge, and Demarco.

    My hopes for series 2 are Thel, Fred, Tanaka, Locke, Halsey, and a blue and yellow Helljumper SPartan from Halo 5. Unlikely but I can dream. xD

  8. Just got what i would guess is series 1, it consists of the top row of figures. It was 5$ a pop at walmart in sothern California
