He’s the big one Halo fans have been waiting all fall for–the McFarlane Toys Halo 4 Knight Deluxe Boxed Action Figure has now been released in the United States!

I truly thought McFarlane Toys had made a mistake a couple weeks ago when they set the release date for their Halo 4 Promethean Knight Deluxe Boxed Action figure for December. Surely there was no way that a humongous, super-articulated, elaborately-painted action figure like the 9″ Forerunner Knight could go from our initial looks at it to retail release in less than one month… right?

Wrong. McFarlane Toys has managed to shatter my preconceptions by getting this huge Knight Halo 4 figure out right when they said that they would. So big props to McFarlane Toys!

The back of the box for the McFarlane Knight figure prominently proclaims its “40 Moving Parts”, which I think is a record for a Halo McFarlane Toys figure (prove me wrong, readers!). The Forerunner Scattershot mounted on the Knight’s arm looks amazing in the final product, and as it’s my favorite new gun in Halo 4, I’m super excited to get my hands on it and see how it looks in person.

While it may be tough to tell from online packaged photos, the Knight appears to have come out of the factory a total success. He sports the same shiny silver paint that I liked so much on the Halo 4 Series 1 Extended Promthean Watcher and Crawler figures, and the secondary paint highlights on the figure seem to have a very intriguing gradient effect to them!
Coupled with the heavily-advertised ability of the aforementioned Watcher figure to dock inside the compartment that opens on the back of the Knight, this Knight looks like it is one ridiculously cool deluxe action figure.
