It was a close call there for a while, but McFarlane Toys has managed to pull off what many collectors thought they wouldn’t: they managed to release the entirety of the Halo 4 Series 2 action figures assortment during their … Continue Reading →
Having driven around like a crazy person all last week on the prowl for Halo 4 Series 2 figures at a dozen and a half local Walgreens stores, I finally came across a lone Halo 4 Series 2 Rust Spartan … Continue Reading →
While I’ve been driving around like a crazy person trying to hunt down McFarlane Toys Halo 4 Series 2 from what seems like an infinite number of Walgreens stores (and no, I haven’t found any yet besides Master Chief & … Continue Reading →
Of the four electronic lights and sounds Halo Mega Bloks sets that MEGA Brands unveiled at the 2013 New York Toy Fair, the 97134 Halo Mega Bloks UNSC Night Ops Gausshog was easily the one I was least interested in. Compared to the Mega Bloks Halo Wars vehicles sets (UNSC Cobra, UNSC Hornet and Covenant Vampire) and a new UNSC Pelican, a new Halo 4 Mega Bloks Warthog didn’t seem all that compelling. Well, I received my Night Ops Gausshog Mega Bloks set from BA Toys last week, and not only do I find the completed set compelling, but I can give it a wholehearted recommendation…

For months speculation has run rampant as to the retail store that would obtain the fabled Steel/Green Spartan CIO figure exclusive as part of McFarlane Toys Halo 4 Series 2. Would it be the latest in a long history of Walmart or Gamestop Halo exclusives? Would Target or Toys R Us be returning Halo action figures to their rightful throne of prominence within their action figure aisles? Could Amazon be looking to stage a coup and claim the richest McFarlane Halo 4 Series 2 exclusive figure for themselves? Well, it turns out it’s none of the above. Instead, the C.I.O. Spartan exclusive green and steel action figure will be going to the wretched hive of scum and villainy known as Walgreens…

But the good news is, it looks like it will be arriving sooner than later! As part of their newest aisle reset, Toys R Us stores have reserved shelf space for the Mega Bloks Halo Mammoth yet, confirming both that the set should be arriving in the near future and also its official price-point of $179.99…
