Halo Mega Bloks 2013 Sets Lineup Announced!

The dust hasn’t even had a chance to settle from the arrival of the Halo Mega Bloks Fall 2012 sets, but information has already started to surface for the Halo Mega Bloks 2013 assortment! MEGA Brands has released to retailers a list of 12 tentative Halo Mega Bloks 2013 sets prospectively scheduled to start shipping between November 2012 and January 2013.

The tentatively-planned 2013 Halo Mega Bloks sets are as follows:

Halo Mega Bloks UNSC Ammo Pack 97037
Halo Mega Bloks UNSC Orange Combat Unit 97083
Halo Mega Bloks Cobalt Covenant Combat Unit 97084
Halo Mega Bloks UNSC Cryo Bay 97088
Halo Mega Bloks Arctic Covenant Drop Pod 97074
Halo Mega Bloks Flood Pod 97075
Halo Mega Bloks ODST Recon Specialist 97105
Halo Mega Bloks Covenant Crimson Drop Pod Elite General 97106
Halo Mega Bloks Covenant Spectre Ambush 97110
Halo Mega Bloks UNSC Set 97115 (Details unknown)
Halo Mega Bloks 97118 (Details unknown)
Halo Mega Bloks Series 6 Mystery Pack Figures 96978

Most of these sets are not scheduled to start shipping until January, although online retailers may be receiving some of them before Christmas, including the Halo 4 UNSC Cryo Bay, Cobalt Covenant Combat Unit, UNSC Orange Combat Unit, Covenant Spectre Ambush, Halo Mega Bloks Series 6 Mystery Packs, and the UNSC Ammo Pack.

Of special mention on this list are the Crimson Covenant Drop Pod and ODST Recon Specialist Drop Pod sets, which were cancelled from the Halo Mega Bloks 2012 lineup but have now resurfaced as being part of the 2013 Halo Mega Bloks plans. It appears the Crimson Covenant Drop Pod set has also been slightly reconfigured, as it now includes a Crimson Elite General figure, whereas before it came with a Crimson Elite Combat figure. The ODST Recon Specialist figure is the much-requested ODST wearing a Spartan Recon helmet that resembles Veronica Dare from the Halo 3: ODST video game.

Personally, I am thrilled about the Covenant Spectre finally getting to shine as a Halo Mega Bloks set! The Spectre has been frequently mentioned by fans since the Halo Mega Bloks line began, and it will be a great new addition to the Covenant’s battalion. The Orange UNSC Combat Unit is also pretty near and dear to my heart, as there are plenty of orange Spartan armor permutations I still want in the Mega Bloks figure form!

You can check out the listings for all of the 2013 Halo Mega Bloks sets over at BAToys, where pre-orders will be opening September 1st!

  1. A cool idea would be to make some of the flood infected ships, like High Charity.

  2. i would like to see a vulture for 2013 summer/fall line it is better than the pelican and is a good idea, also there needs to be another ghost set not a big box 50-40 dolars set but a cheap 10-12 dollar simple 1-2 figure set witha new or old ghost idc which but i never got an original ghost and im stupid for that but i would definitely buy a new ghost set in the 10-12 dollar range.. πŸ™‚
