Halo 4 Series 1 Extended Figures 5-Pack Set Released!

Last week I reported that Amazon was releasing the McFarlane Halo 4 5-Figure Boxed Set on Halloween, and they would probably be the first retailer to release the set as no other retailers seemed to have it on the radar yet. It seems I spoke too soon, as almost immediately after, the set went live on the official Toys R Us website and was apparently in-stock for shipping at that time! Toys R Us is charging an astronomical $79.99 + tax for the pack (more than any other retailer), but they do have the hard-to-find Halo 4 set ready to ship. Dreeday from the Halo Figures Forum received his Halo 4 Series 1 Extended Figures pack earlier this week, and sent along his tale of acquiring the set:

Halo 4 Series 1 Extended Figures 5-Pack In-Hand“I got it from Toysrus.com. The had a free shipping option when I ordered it late last week. I was excepting them to cancel my order over the weekend, because I didn’t think they really had the 5 pack in stock, but everything went through. It was a good thing I saved my birthday money, or I won’t have been able to afford it. The price sucked, but free shipping was too good to pass up. I really doubt I’ll be able to find this pack in stores, since I don’t have any Toy R us stores around me and Amazon isn’t offering free shipping yet, and more than likely when they do, you’ll have to be in their Amazon Prime program just to get free shipping. So I took a chance with Toys R Us and everything worked out.”

Reports are now coming in of sightings at a number of readers’ local Toys R Us stores, so there are a variety of choices for obtaining the McFarlane Halo 4 Extended figures now including in-stock online retailers (Amazon and Toys R Us) and retail stores (Toys R Us).

Many thanks to Dreeday for giving us permission to use his photo and impressions!

  1. I don’t get what McFarlane Toys did with The Master Chief. The ptototype looked much more game accurate, in terms of the paint job. Why did they change it? and there are about six Master Chiefs released in the Halo 4 line, none of which fixing the figure’s accuracy problems. The visor should be more of an orange color, the shoulder pads should be higher and bulkier, and the green should be lighter. Oh well, hopefully in series 2 they won’t jst give him a different weapon and the Micro ops Cortana. I really hope they give us a second attempt at a Chief figure.
