Over the course of the last month I’ve built and reviewed every one of the early 2013 Halo Mega Bloks sets (the Mega Bloks Halo 4 Mantis review is in-progress as we speak) except for one set that eluded me: the Halo Mega Bloks 2013 Cauldron Clash 97118. But now the final piece of the puzzle of the winter Halo Mega Bloks assortment has fallen into place, and online retailers like BA Toys have finally started to receive what is likely to be the most popular set of early 2013!

I’m not sure that MEGA Brands could have packed any more “new” into this Halo Mega Bloks set if they tried. First of all, this set marks the first time that any Mega Bloks Prometheans figures have been available. And rather than trickling them out one at a time, MEGA Brands is being sweet enough to give us all of them, all at once, in the same set!

In the Halo Mega Bloks Cauldron Clash set, you get two brand-new Crawlers figures, an all-new Watcher figure, and even a gargantuan new Promethean Knight Mega Bloks figure! All three figures have quite literally broke the mold, as none of them are anything like any Halo Mega Bloks figure that’s come before.

But if even that isn’t enough “new” for you, how about the inclusion of some greatly-demanded Halo guns making their first appearance? The popular DMR and the newly-introduced Halo 4 Railgun both debut in this set, as well as the Forerunner Scattershot that the Promethean Knight figure is packing!

Even the Spartan that wields the Railgun is fresh, as it’s the first release of the Spartan Soldier armor permutation that debuted in Halo 4. Add in the great-looking multiplayer-inspired buildable playset which is the main component of this set, and you have what is certain to be one of the best-selling Halo Mega Bloks sets in quite some time (if not ever).
