Halo Mega Bloks Cyclops Jungle Strike & Desert Strike Sets Released

It’s been a pretty excruciating two-month wait for MEGA Brands to release some more Halo Mega Bloks sets, but that wait is now coming to an end! The first two Halo Mega Bloks Cyclops sets–the Jungle Strike Cyclops 97006 and Desert Strike Cyclops 97007–are now starting to arrive at retail stores all over the world! Where have they shown up and what store can you buy them at?

Halo Mega Bloks Cyclops Sets Released On Store ShelvesI’ve talked about both the Halo Mega Bloks Jungle Strike Cyclops 97006 and Desert Strike Cyclops 97007 sets pretty extensively in the past (including a video review of the Jungle Strike Cyclops courtesy of The Brick Show a few weeks ago), but there’s always room for a little more discussion!

We knew that the first pair of Cyclops Halo Mega Bloks sets would be arriving right around now, and they have. The two sets have already been spotted on Toys R Us store shelves in England, as well as on Walmart shelves in Canada. With the Cyclops quickly mobilizing, it should only be a matter of days (or a week or so) before the sets arrive in force in America.

Halo Mega Bloks Jungle Strike Cyclops 97006 Packaged Released In the United States, these two Halo Mega Bloks Cyclops sets will debut as a Toys R Us exclusive in late March/early April 2013. It’s unknown at this time if the pair are going to be exclusive for a period (in the manner that the World of Warcraft Mega Bloks Pandaren sets were) or if they’re going to be permanently exclusive to Toys R Us. If I had to fancy a guess, I’d say that the Jungle Strike and Desert Strike Cyclops sets will both be available later this year at mass retail (alongside the Arctic Cyclops and Covert Ops Cyclops), however.

Halo Mega Bloks Desert Strike Cyclops 97007 Packaged ReleasedHuge thanks to Andrew (TikiElite on SpartanBloks) for giving permission for us to run his photos of both Cyclops sets on the store shelf at his local UK Toys R Us! The sets retail for £14.99  at his UK Toys R Us, and will likely be $14.99 at American Toys R Us stores.

Now that we’re on the verge of the long-awaited Halo Mega Bloks Cyclops sets beginning to hit retail stores in the United States, I want to hear what you have to say, Halo collectors! Leave a comment and let me know: Are you planning to get one or all of the Cyclops sets, or are these Halo Wars mechs not your thing?

    • It does not matter if or if not buidable. What matters that they made one and selling it.

    • YOU ARE CRAZY HOW CAN YOU CALL THE MOST AWESOME WALKER(besides the mantis)NOT HALO MEGA BLOKS SUE YOU.

  1. Step 1: Buy Jungle Strike cyclops.
    Step 2: Buy Covert cyclops.
Step 3: put Covert cyclops’ shoulder-mounted guns on Jungle Strike cyclops.
Step 4: Admire the 2nd most amazing build ever in Mega Bloks (after the Mantis)

  2. YES! FOR ONCE CANADA HAS SOMETHING FIRST! HA HA! IN YOUR FACE U.S.A! Canada never has the new sets anytime near their release dates… I’m lucky if I can find a set months after it’s release here in Alberta.

  3. Dude. This is prehaps the best BASIC piece to build a mech from. I am not kidding, I am a lego-Pro, and I have built some crazy awsome mechs using this tiny guy as a center piece, he has pegs in all the right places, really, you can’t even tell some of my Mechs have a cyclops as a building piece. Will post on You-Tube soon. ~LuciferX10
